Massage Therapy

Massage therapy offers a wide range of benefits, from reducing muscle tension and alleviating stress to improving circulation and enhancing recovery from injury. As a powerful remedial therapy, it can help relieve chronic pain, promote flexibility, and restore overall well-being.

Beyond relaxation, massage plays a key role in preventing and managing a variety of musculoskeletal and physiological conditions, making it an effective complement to your regular treatment plan.

Our team of soft tissue specialists each brings a unique approach to this hands-on therapy, with the shared goal of helping your body return to a state of balance and vitality. Whether you are managing acute pain, recovering from injury, or simply looking to improve your body's overall function, massage therapy can provide meaningful, lasting benefits.

What to Expect During Your Massage Session

Massage sessions are available in 30-, 60-, and 90-minute options, depending on your needs and preferences.

Preparation

There is no special preparation required before a massage. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork and discuss your specific concerns with the therapist. Staying hydrated before and after your session will help support muscle recovery.

What to Wear

You can wear whatever makes you comfortable. For most massages, you will be asked to undress to your comfort level, and professional draping techniques will be used to ensure privacy. If you are receiving a sports or deep tissue massage, loose-fitting clothing that allows access to the treatment areas may also be an option.

Room Temperature & Draping

Our treatment rooms are maintained at a comfortable temperature to promote relaxation. If you prefer a warmer or cooler environment, let us know, and we will adjust accordingly. We use professional draping techniques, covering areas of the body that are not being treated to ensure privacy, warmth, and comfort throughout your session.

Is Massage Therapy Safe During Pregnancy?

Yes, pregnancy massages are designed to be safe and beneficial for both mother and baby. Our therapists are specially trained to address common pregnancy-related concerns such as lower back pain, swelling, and fatigue. How Often Should You Get a Massage?

The frequency of massages depends on your individual needs and goals:

  • For sports recovery or chronic pain management, weekly sessions may be beneficial.

  • For general relaxation and stress relief, monthly or occasional massages may be sufficient.

What to Expect After a Massage

Following your session, you may feel deeply relaxed or slightly energized, depending on the type of massage received. It is common to experience mild soreness, particularly after a deep tissue or sports massage, as your muscles have been worked on. This usually subsides within a day or two.

To maximize the benefits of your massage:

  • Stay hydrated, as massage helps release toxins from the muscles.

  • Avoid strenuous activity for at least 24 hours to allow your body time to recover.

If you experience any lasting discomfort or have concerns after your session, feel free to contact your therapist for advice.
